Geo-specific projects are dispersed over 180 villages / hamlets from 13 Blocks in 7 districts and coordinated from Pallahara and Jeypore.
SEDP Jeypore covers Lanjigarh & Narla blocks of Kalahandi district, Umorekote and Raigarh blocks in Nabarangapur district and Jeypore, Lamtaput and Nandapur blocks of Koraput district.
SEDP Pallahara area is spread over Pallahara block of Angul district, and Telkoi blocks in Keonjhar district.
CHILDLINE is a national 24 hour, free, emergency phone and outreach service for children in need of care and protection. As a Collaboration Partner of -Child Line India Foundation, SEDP is running at Nabarangpur Odisha ( An Integrated Child Protection Scheme with approval and support by Ministry For Women And Child Development) .
The project Team is maintaining rapport with the district level allied systems viz. Collector, Police, Juvenile Justice Board, local government and the Community.
Biometric Enrollment Project under NPR
SEDP Jeypore project has been implementing NPR project in Koraput district , Odisha under the Nodal Agency . Madras Security Printers Pvt Ltd . Completed over 3 lakh data for Biometric Enrollment (AADHAAR Card).
SEDP participated in the Swachh Bharat Mission ensuring overall cleanliness, hygiene behaviour, water, toilets and their use. Under IHHL construction is running in Karlamunda block and Narla of Kalahandi, in Jeypore block of Koraput district. Besides in Umarkote block of Nabarangpur undertaken construction of Sanitation units with the support of FINISH Society and District Administration. Simultaneously awareness generation programmes were conducted in the area.
Community Based Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities
Community Based Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities continued till 2012 with funding by MISEREOR and CORDAID through CARITAS India and run in 44 villages of Jaypore Block, Koraput District. Total number of People covered 313 (M-197, F-116). Periodical motivational camps were held with the members of the community including parents. Village Resource Centers are equipped with resource materials. The project has established linkages with the ICDS , PHC, Sub-Centre , Health Workers and PRIs. Rapport developed with the service providers and PRI members.
ODAF Programme for Sustainable Development
ODAF Programme for Sustainable Development supported by EED / BfdW , Germany was run since 1988 in Kalahandi, Angul and Keonjhar districts with about 1000 families of 114 Villages located in Lanjigarh , Narla, Umorekote, Pallahara and Telkoi blocks.
Off-Farm activities benefit primarily the unemployed youths , land less and marginal farmers from the SC, ST and other disadvantaged segments of the community. Micro-Enterprise Development for individuals and groups and Skill trainings in different trades like computer , Mason, Fruit processing, incense-stick making, Phooljharu making) were taken up. Expert support provided by the Govt Agencies. Production units were set up including promotion of Market Access.
Training on Managements of SHG, Marketing and Skill are given to the members . Support for IGP extended to the SHG members, for their various microenterprises.
AXSHAY INDIA TB CONTROL PROGRAMME
The Tuberculosis control programme is being implemented in 144 villages of 3 Blocks of Koraput with support by the LEPRA SOCIETY. Community sensitization meetings were conducted on regular basis. Identified TB patients and facilitated referral services for suspected cases for DOTS under RNTCP. The drive has checked the dropout rate.
